If you love the bamboo style longboards and are looking for a hybrid styled board look no further than the sector 9 laniakea bamboo longboard. This is a great cruiser style longboard that provides a somewhat standard skateboard shape with a tail. The tail makes turning much easier and ollies possible. This board wasn’t designed for carving or high speeds but it is a great board for commuting and also for beginner riders as it is smooth and easy to balance on. It is 36.75 inches long which makes for super sturdy board. It is fully constructed with 7 plys of bamboo wood which give it just a little bit of flex when riding.
This is one of the sector 9 longboards that doesn’t need any of the fancy components as it really is a true cruiser board. You can put on a standard style skate truck to keep the cost minimal with a smaller sized wheel from 60-65mm in size.
